French Au Pair needed from early/mid January 2019 in Seaforth

Updated: Dec 10, 2018

Hannah and her husband, Pete, are expecting their second child in early February and will need some help with looking after their 18 month old toddler, Stanley, while mum is busy with the new bub.

Stanley and Hannah are learning French and are keen for their first Au Pair to be French so they can both practice speaking the language! Hannah and Pete are very easy going and caring family and they would like an Au Pair who will become part of their family and be a big sister to Stanley. The family is about to move to a beautiful suburb in the Northern Beaches, Seaforth, close to the beach, public transport to Manly and the city.

Working hours:

What is important for Hannah and Pete is that you are flexible with regards to hours you work. The average weekly hours will be 35 hours a week (140 hours per month), but there will be weeks when you work more hours and other weeks when you only work 20 hours or not at all! Pete is a pilot and he can be away from home for a few days/weeks at a time and this is the time when Hannah will need most help. However, on days/weeks when Pete is at home little or no help will be required from you.

Main Tasks involve:

- Looking after Stanley, taking him to the park, beach, walks, preparing food for Stanley, bath time, etc.

- Help with the newborn baby, if mum needs to rest or have a shower.

- Help with light housework. The family have a cleaner who comes each week so your duties will be tasks such as putting dishes away, cleaning toys and helping with cooking.

In return you will have your own bedroom with shared bathroom, meals, free internet and occasional use of a car and $250 the pocket money. The family is also happy to provide you with a mobile phone sim card (plus monthly recharge) and an opal card for travel around Sydney.

Ideally you have experience in looking after babies and/or young children and will already be in Australia so you can meet Hannah and the family in person. Drivers licence not essential for this role, but would be a plus.
