Live in Au Pair role from late March

Allison and her husband James are looking for an experienced live in Au Pair to assist in their busy household with three children: Charlie (7), Harriet (5) and Teddy (3).

They are an easygoing, flexible & friendly family from North Willoughby, which is conveniently located 15 minutes from Sydney by bus. They are looking for a friendly, caring and responsible Au Pair who truly enjoys spending time & engaging with children, is creative and can commit between 4-6 month stay (preferably 6 months).

Working hours

You will only work 4 days (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) so you will get a break every Wednesday, as well as the weekend! As kids attend school/preschool, you will work 2 full days (Monday & Tuesday) from 8am - 6:30pm and two half days (Thursday & Friday) 8am - 9am and then 3pm - 6:30pm.

In total, you will work 30 hours per week plus up to 10 hours a month for babysitting on as required basis. Babysitting in excess of 10 hours a month will be paid separately.

Main tasks involve:

  • Morning routine including preparing children for school/preschool drop off and pick up, cleaning up after breakfast;

  • Preparing dinner for the kids, playing, Taking to after school activities, helping with homework;

  • Looking after Teddy (2 full days);

  • Assistance with light household duties such as laundry, hanging out / folding washing, emptying dishwasher and basic daily keeping the house tidy.

In return you will have your own private bedroom in a separate section of the house, use of a separate lounge room with TV / wifi / netflix, shared bathroom with kids, meals, free internet and $250 - $300 pocket money per week negotiable based on experience and length of stay. The family is also happy to provide you with a mobile phone sim card (plus monthly recharge).

Drivers licence is essential for this role, but you will only be required to drive locally to drop children off at local sports activities.
